we had a wonderful christmas with friends and family! we hosted christmas at our house which was really nice. mv doesn't really get it yet but she loved all the attention and toys! :)

i decided to decorate most of the house with natural decor and did the traditional red/green in the foyer and dining room. these vases are from our wedding and i just fill them with greenery, small gold ornaments, pine cones and i added cinnamon this year.

i love these ornaments! i had forgotten that i bought them a few years ago (we didn't do much decorating last year!) and they are perfect for my natural tree.

crostini with a spread of goat/cream cheese with honey, walnuts and apples; topped with prosciutto
i just creamed the cheese together then added diced apples, walnuts and honey. this was spread on the crostini you can buy at fresh market and then topped with prosciutto pieces. delicious!!
meatballs were a big hit!
i am not a fan but this is the grape jelly and chili sauce recipe. mix together one jar of grape jelly and one jar of chili sauce. mix together over heat until the jelly dissolves. add frozen meatballs (about 60-70) and cook for a few hours. make sure to stir frequently so the sauces don't burn!
this is a yummy punch that i love this time of year! it is two cups of cranberry juice, two cups of (cloudy) apple juice and one cup of vodka. blend this briefly to aerate. pour into bowl and then add two cups ginger ale and frozen cranberries to garnish. i sometimes skip the blending and just mix it all together!
