Lions, Tigers and Bears, OH MY!!

We saw these and many more animals at Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC this past weekend. I had a free weekend stay and passes to the zoo and gardens. I was really impressed. Sadly, much better than the Birmingham Zoo! As expected, I went overboard with the photos. This isn't even half of them...

Lions

TigerBear
Brad and a gator. He loves them! Baboon
Giraffe
Galapagos tortoises. They were as big as the boulders behind them!
Flamingos
Can't remember this bird's name but love his plumeage!
Elephant

Jellyfish
Hippo
These gorillas would sit right at the glass windows. Check out this one's pink lip!
Enjoying some lettuce. They were throwing carrots at each other!
Meerkat Manor!
Lemurs
Koala

Koala baby catching some zzzzzz's.
Python. This glass reflected really badly so I didn't take many pictures inside.
Piranha - check out his teeth!
Parakeets (I think - lots of birds!)
Ostrich
Monitor lizard
Wallaby
Some kind of monkeys. These guys were swinging all over the place!
Toucan Sam and his brother Froot Loop! ; )
This sea lion was putting on a show. He was such a ham!!

Chuck Norris wears Brad Shingler pajamas...

The hotel we were staying at had a karate tournament going on and Brad just had to get a picture taken with Chuck!

Whimpy's favorite kind of cake

Publix rules! We enjoyed this cake for a co-worker's birthday. His favorite meal is, you guessed it, cheeseburgers! It was yummy!

Visors...

We got bored on Thursday in our carpool so we had a photo shoot with some random visors in Graham's car. Too funny!

Lilies!

Lilies are the flowers of choice lately...
I like this one better than some other recent ones!
A blurry close-up
Not my favorite arrangement but love the shells in the bottom!

Beach!!!

Brad and I finally had our first beach weekend! We were out at Kiawah on Saturday, April 26 (and, of course, I forgot my camera) and then Folly on Sunday. The beaches don't look that much different!

Gator

While on Kiawah, we spotted an alligator enjoying a swim. This is a little guy. At first, we thought it was the one Brad had named Jorts but it wasn't!
