ham and cheddar scones

I am not a huge scone fan.  They are usually too dry and sweet for my taste.  However, I ran across this recipe in Country Living and was in need of using up some cream I had left from the hot chocolate from Mary Van's birthday.  So, I whipped up the ham and cheese version.  There are several variations listed which I liked a lot about the recipe as well.

These were amazing!  And pretty darn easy.  I didn't have any jalapenos so I went without.

The scallion and feta version may be my next venture.  So, so good with dinner or breakfast!

Here is the recipe:  perfectly buttery cream scones
